Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the role

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of service, sanitation, and guest satisfaction. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and Chef, this role helps drive operational efficiency and staff performance during peak periods.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in supervising the restaurant team, handling employee questions and performance monitoring.
• Oversee daily shift operations, including opening and closing duties.
• Ensure all staff have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
• Communicate food quality and service issues to the Chef and Restaurant Manager.
• Maintain compliance with restaurant policies, sanitation standards, and local alcohol service laws.
• Monitor and achieve budgeted financial goals.
• Interact with guests to gather feedback, resolve complaints, and promote exceptional service.
• Conduct training, coaching, and performance counseling for staff.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of food‑and‑beverage experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hospitality, Food Service Management, Business Administration, etc., with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to improve guest and employee satisfaction.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
