Assistant Professor - Psychology

About the role

DIT University is seeking an Assistant Professor in Psychology to join its faculty on a full‑time basis. The position is remote‑friendly, allowing the successful candidate to contribute to teaching and research activities from anywhere while being affiliated with the Dehradun campus.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Psychology, ensuring high‑quality instruction and student engagement.
• Develop and supervise research projects, guiding students and junior researchers.
• Publish scholarly articles in high‑impact, peer‑reviewed journals.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and academic committees.
• Maintain academic standards and contribute to the university’s research agenda.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching, industry, or research organizations (excluding time spent on a research degree).
• At least 5 research papers published in refereed indexed journals with high impact factors.
• Relevant doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Psychology.
• Strong commitment to academic excellence and student mentorship.
