Assistant Manager – Contracts & Commercials (Transportation)

About the role

Surbana Jurong is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead contracts and commercial activities for its transportation and infrastructure projects in Bangalore. The role blends bid management, contract administration, and financial oversight to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Support bid management, including cost estimation, commercial evaluation, and preparation of tender documents.
• Assist in contract administration, interpreting clauses, managing changes, and ensuring compliance.
• Monitor project financials, budgets, cash flow, and cost control measures.
• Prepare and review BOQs, claims, variations, and reconciliation statements.
• Coordinate with internal teams to guarantee contractual and commercial compliance.
• Ensure adherence to statutory guidelines and contract conditions.

Required profile

• B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
• PGDM in Construction Management (preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in bid management, contract management, and project financials.
• Experience in transportation or infrastructure projects is an advantage.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of PMBOK, GFR, FIDIC, Indian Contract Act, CVC Guidelines, Reconciliation Act.
• Financial concepts such as EBITDA, IRR, XIRR, NPV, CPI.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MS Project, and Primavera.
