Architect – Lead Complex Projects (Mumbai)

About the role

IPS is a global leader in technical consulting, architecture, engineering, procurement, construction management and validation services for complex facilities, primarily in the life‑sciences sector. We are seeking a talented Architect to join our dedicated team at our Mumbai office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex architectural projects from concept through construction, aligning with client vision and business goals.
• Provide technical guidance, conduct quality control, and oversee design development and construction documents, ensuring code compliance and constructability.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and internal teams, presenting proposals and managing expectations.
• Mentor junior architects and designers, fostering continuous learning and high standards.
• Ensure designs meet safety, sustainability, and regulatory standards using BIM and related tools.
• Manage timelines, budgets, resources, and risk for large‑scale projects.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's in Architecture; licensed architect (Council of Architecture or equivalent).
• 10+ years of architectural design experience, with proven leadership of complex projects.
• Strong communication, negotiation, problem‑solving, leadership and project‑management abilities.
• Fluent English and deep understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and sustainability principles (LEED, IGBC).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with visualization tools such as Twin Motion and Photoshop.
• SketchUp expertise.
• MS Office suite.
