Accountant – Regional Accounting Support

About the role

The Accountant will support the regional accounting function by maintaining an accurate general ledger, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements. This role involves month‑end close activities, reconciliations, and audit support to enable timely business decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post recurring and non‑recurring journal entries in line with company policies.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations, investigate variances and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month‑end and quarter‑end close processes, meeting deadlines with accuracy.
• Support variance analysis and respond to ad‑hoc financial reporting requests.
• Maintain data accuracy in accounting systems, contribute to system maintenance and data cleanup.
• Document accounting transactions and reconciliations with organized supporting files.
• Provide documentation and respond to internal and external audit inquiries.
• Execute cash accounting duties while upholding appropriate controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 2–5 years of hands‑on accounting experience, including journal entries, reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Minimum two years of experience using an ERP system (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Costpoint, Oracle).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
