Transport Planner III – Strategic Mobility Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Transport Planner III to join Surbana Jurong’s India team in Gurugram. The role involves delivering strategic transport planning, data‑driven modelling and infrastructure design for urban and regional mobility projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead transport planning projects from inception through delivery.
• Develop transport strategies, studies and assessments.
• Direct primary and secondary data collection activities.
• Analyse traffic patterns and model scenarios for urban and regional networks.
• Prepare high‑quality technical reports and presentations.
• Contribute to planning applications and transport statements.
• Collaborate with clients, local authorities and project partners.
• Support the delivery of sustainable, future‑focused mobility solutions.

Required profile

• Postgraduate degree in Transport Planning, Transportation Engineering or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in transport planning or traffic engineering.
• Proficiency with transport modelling tools such as VISSIM, VISUM and CUBE.
• Experience using GIS for spatial analysis.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
