Trainee Haemodialysis Technician

About the role

Join Fresenius Medical Care as a Trainee Technician and support patients with kidney failure by operating state‑of‑the‑art haemodialysis equipment. This hands‑on position offers practical training in a clinical environment, ensuring safe and effective dialysis treatments.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate haemodialysis machines for patient treatments.
• Attach dialyzer and tubing, prime extracorporeal circuits with normal saline, and label all components with patient identifiers.
• Prepare dialysis solutions and mix bicarbonate according to prescribed formulas.
• Explain the dialysis procedure and machine operation to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Connect the machine to the patient’s vascular access and monitor for any malfunction.
• Maintain accurate log books, forms, and registers for each treatment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; interest in healthcare and renal therapy.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict clinical protocols.
• Good communication skills to interact with patients and the care team.

Required skills

• Operation of haemodialysis machines.
• Preparation of dialysis solutions and bicarbonate mixing.
• Labeling and handling of medical tubing and dialyzers.
