Tech Lead – SAP ABAP Consultant

About the role

STL Digital is looking for a Tech Lead with deep SAP ABAP expertise to drive complex development projects on SAP S/4HANA. You will work on‑site with functional consultants to translate business requirements into high‑quality technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse functional specs and design, develop, test, and debug ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements and forms (RICEFW).
• Develop and adapt code for SAP S/4HANA using CDS views, AMDP and OData services while following HANA best practices.
• Design stable interfaces with RFC, BAPI, IDocs, ALE and Web Services (SOAP/REST); experience with SAP PI/PO or CPI is a plus.
• Apply enhancement techniques (User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Spots) and manage modifications (SPDD/SPAU).
• Perform performance tuning, code push‑down and OpenSQL optimisation for SAP HANA.
• Create and maintain SAP Script, Smart Forms and Adobe Forms.
• Collaborate closely with functional consultants (MM, SD, FI/CO, PP) and document technical solutions.
• Provide production support, root‑cause analysis and timely issue resolution.

Required profile

• 4‑8 years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Object‑Oriented ABAP, ALV reporting, dialog programming and the Data Dictionary.
• Proven experience with the full spectrum of RICEFW objects.
