Team Leader – Operations & Production

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Team Leader to oversee daily operations in a manufacturing environment. The role combines hands‑on machine operation, production planning and people management to ensure quality, productivity and safety standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational support and act as first‑line contact for transactional operations, using existing systems and protocols.
• Train operators, run complex machines, adjust processes to optimise quality and productivity, and resolve inefficiencies.
• Contribute data to production plans, run reports, verify accuracy and distribute information.
• Coordinate and direct a team while performing routine work, including shift scheduling and leave management.
• Assist with equipment changeovers, inspections, troubleshooting, emergency repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Follow Health, Safety and Environment policies to identify and mitigate risks.
• Conduct complex quality analyses, tests and inspections, making independent decisions.
• Prioritise workflow, meet quality and timeliness standards, and use performance management systems for continuous improvement.
• Coach team members to develop skills and ensure compliance with organisational policies and regulatory codes.
• Implement improvements, provide feedback and follow change‑management protocols.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and coordination abilities with experience managing a production team.
• Decision‑making skills for shift scheduling, leave approvals and operational troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of equipment operation, maintenance and changeover processes.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Analytical mindset for quality testing and performance management.
• Ability to coach and develop team members.
