Tax Transformation Consultant – Provision & Compliance

About the role

Deloitte Tax Transformation Consulting is seeking a Consultant to support US‑based clients in modernising their tax provision and compliance functions. You will work across major Indian cities, helping clients adopt next‑generation tax technologies and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support tax provision and compliance engagements with a focus on ASC 740 processes and controls.
• Assist in the implementation, enhancement, and automation of tax software for provision and compliance workflows.
• Identify process gaps, improve accuracy, and drive efficiency in reporting and compliance activities.
• Redesign client tax departments and evaluate automation opportunities.
• Prepare client‑ready documentation, status updates, and detailed process materials.
• Design and develop tax solutions, applying technology skills such as data wrangling and analytics.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in tax provision and compliance.
• Full‑time Masters/Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounts, MBA, or Chartered Accountant qualification.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and experience with data‑intensive reporting tasks.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Motivation to learn new technologies, develop prototypes, and solve technical problems.
