Tax Specialist – Indirect Tax Compliance (EMEA)

About the role

Invesco is seeking an experienced Tax Specialist to lead indirect tax compliance across the EMEA region and other assigned markets. You will ensure accurate filing, guide junior staff, and act as the primary contact for complex tax queries.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and filing of indirect tax returns for EMEA and other regions.
• Review tax calculations, reconciliations, and documentation prepared by junior team members.
• Provide expert guidance on complex compliance queries and escalations.
• Implement quality‑control measures and continuously improve tax processes.
• Lead onboarding, training, and upskilling of new graduates and junior staff.
• Collaborate with the Global Indirect Tax Manager and cross‑functional teams.
• Prepare and coordinate documentation for internal and external audits.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate indirect tax risks, recommending process enhancements.
• Stay current on EMEA indirect tax legislation and advise the business accordingly.
• Leverage ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Cloud) and advanced Excel skills to optimize reporting.

Required profile

• 5‑6+ years of hands‑on experience in indirect tax compliance, focused on the EMEA region.
• Proven ability to manage and review complex tax processes independently.
• Experience training, mentoring, and developing junior team members.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Oracle Cloud.
• Expert‑level Microsoft Excel skills.
