System Engineering Project Manager – Rolling Stock

About the role

We are seeking a System Engineering Project Manager to lead complex metro rolling‑stock projects for Siemens Mobility. You will be responsible for delivering system‑engineering solutions on time, within budget and to technical specifications, acting as the bridge between the rolling‑stock business unit and our engineering centre in India.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives and technical requirements together with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, resource allocations and milestones.
• Assemble, lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams of system engineers, software developers and technical specialists.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship and support to the engineering team.
• Monitor and control project budgets, implement cost‑control measures and report on KPIs.
• Identify, analyse and mitigate technical, operational and organisational risks.
• Facilitate communication between the rolling‑stock business unit, engineering centre in India and global stakeholders.
• Prepare regular progress updates, technical reports and presentations for executives and customers.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex engineering projects in the rail or transportation sector.
• Strong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive results.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of risk management, budgeting and project control.
