Sustainability Manager – Global Environmental Responsibility

About the role

The Sustainability Manager will report to the Head of Administration & Sustainability and lead Sony’s global environmental initiatives. The role focuses on advancing Sony’s Road to Zero targets, enhancing the sustainability profile of content productions, and engaging consumers on sustainability topics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication strategies to reach 3 billion impressions through behavioral placement and cause marketing.
• Partner with the global sustainability team to create a theory of change that supports Sony’s SDG consumer‑engagement goals.
• Establish Sony Pictures Networks (SPN) as an industry leader in sustainable production, collaborating with production, acquisition, and industry groups.
• Identify and implement carbon‑reduction projects across the supply chain and distribution network.
• Track and report on key sustainability metrics, including carbon accounting, waste recycling, and Scope 3 emissions.
• Foster partnerships with industry stakeholders, experts, and internal business units to drive One Sony sustainability projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree; business or environmentally‑focused degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sustainability, environmental compliance, or related fields.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.

• Carbon accounting and Scope 3 emissions reporting.
• Waste recycling and zero‑to‑landfill initiatives.
• Development of sustainable production frameworks.
