Strategic Sourcing Lead – Supply Chain

About the role

The Strategic Sourcing Lead will drive sourcing strategies for avionics, electronics and UAV subsystems, ensuring cost‑effective, high‑quality supply for new projects. This role blends engineering insight with material‑management expertise in a fast‑paced, agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for high‑value, high‑volume components.
• Identify, evaluate and develop suppliers for critical technologies.
• Conduct cost optimisation and value‑engineering studies.
• Build and manage long‑term supplier relationships and contracts.
• Mitigate supply risks, ensuring continuity, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develop BOMs for new projects, manage obsolescence and source economical alternatives.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain, preferably in avionics/electronics/UAV.
• BE & MBA qualifications.
• Proven track record in engineering component sourcing, new vendor identification and price negotiation.
• Experience with imported items, BOM mapping and obsolescence management.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of SAP MM module.
• Excellent negotiation, cost analysis and supplier development capabilities.
