Staff Data Scientist – Organisational Intelligence

About the role

Busuu is building a new Organisational Intelligence capability within its Decision Intelligence team. As a Staff Data Scientist you will shape how the company measures performance, transformation impact and AI governance, partnering directly with senior leadership to turn data into actionable decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and operate the analytical architecture behind monthly and quarterly business reviews, ensuring insights drive decisions.
• Create a company‑wide performance narrative by synthesising signals across B2C, B2B, product, commercial, finance and AI initiatives.
• Build and operationalise frameworks to measure organisational and AI transformation, covering efficiency, effectiveness and human impact.
• Own canonical definitions for the most critical business metrics and manage dispute resolution across teams.
• Develop maturity models and business learning loops that continuously improve decision quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading data‑science initiatives at a senior or staff level.
• Strong strategic mindset with the ability to influence senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
• Expertise in designing measurement architectures and translating complex data into clear business narratives.
• Track record of delivering high‑visibility, impact‑driven analytics in fast‑moving, AI‑focused environments.
