Special Educator – Neurodiverse Learners

About the role

The Owl House is seeking a dedicated Special Educator to work on‑site in Aldona, Goa. You will support neurodiverse teens, young adults and adults by delivering personalized education plans that promote independence and community integration.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized lesson plans covering academic, life and social skills.
• Teach and adapt curricula to meet the unique learning styles of neurodiverse students.
• Monitor progress, maintain records, and adjust strategies based on ongoing assessment.
• Collaborate closely with families, therapists and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

Required profile

• Experience working with neurodiverse individuals in an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of various disabilities and evidence‑based support strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with students, families and interdisciplinary teams.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for inclusive education.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Special Education, Education or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
