Senior Backend Software Engineer – Cart & Checkout

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design and build high‑performance services for our cart and checkout platforms. The role is based in Hyderabad with a hybrid work model, offering the chance to work on scalable eCommerce solutions for a global tech‑driven organization.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain high‑throughput backend services and APIs using NodeJS.
• Build scalable, API‑driven solutions supporting cart, checkout and revenue‑critical platforms.
• Design and manage NoSQL databases, search indexes and related backend infrastructure.
• Address complex scalability and performance challenges.
• Mentor engineering teams and promote best coding and development practices.
• Evaluate technical trade‑offs based on cost, effort and risk.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in backend/API development.
• Strong programming expertise in Python, JavaScript and NodeJS.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience with NoSQL technologies like DynamoDB, OpenSearch or Graph databases.
• Solid understanding of API standards and frameworks.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and influence technical decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
