Senior Auditor

About the role

The Senior Auditor will lead finance, operational and project audits for McDermott worldwide. This individual contributor role requires high energy, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute finance, operational process and project audits.
• Manage SOX/ICFR control testing and ensure timely completion.
• Develop customizable audit programs that identify risks, controls and procedures.
• Interact with corporate, department and line managers to gather information and provide insights.
• Prepare formal audit reports for executive management and document findings according to IIA and MDR standards.
• Evaluate corrective actions for adequacy and effectiveness.
• Provide consulting on policy and procedure development or revision.
• Stay current on auditing, accounting, IT, fraud and oil‑and‑gas industry developments.

Required profile

• CA, ACCA, CPA or CIA qualification with an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4–8 years of internal audit experience in multinational firms or Big‑4 environments.
• Experience in oil & gas EPC or contracting companies is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and lead complex audit engagements.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Data analytics and visualization tools.
• Audit software experience (e.g., Optro/AuditBoard).
