Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized, detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance and accounts team. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing accurate financial data and analysis to support management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and manage books of accounts, financial records and accounting transactions.
• Perform regular bank, vendor, customer and ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare and file GST, TDS returns and assist with other statutory compliance matters.
• Ensure timely payment of statutory dues such as GST, TDS, PF, ESIC and Professional Tax.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly MIS reports, financial statements and management reports.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities and coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks and government authorities.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Monitor outstanding receivables, follow up with clients and verify expense claims and purchase bills.
• Participate in budgeting, cash‑flow management and financial planning.
• Handle payroll accounting entries and salary reconciliations.
• Identify process improvements, contribute to automation and ensure internal controls and confidentiality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance (B.Com/M.Com preferred).
• 4–7 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax and Indian accounting standards.
• Hands‑on experience with accounting software such as Tally ERP, Zoho Books, Busy or similar ERP systems.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and basic financial analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
