Senior Accountant – Inventory GL Reconciliation

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead the reconciliation of inventory General Ledger (GL) accounts for Lowe's India, ensuring alignment with accounting policies, US GAAP and company standards. This role supports accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee inventory GL reconciliation processes and validate financial transactions.
• Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies between recorded and actual inventory levels.
• Research and monitor inventory‑related financial data to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
• Prepare and review reconciliation reports for senior finance leadership.
• Collaborate with the Inventory Reconciliation Team to implement corrective actions that reduce shrinkage.

Required profile

• Strong background in accounting with experience in GL reconciliation.
• Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and corporate accounting policies.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to investigate root causes of inventory variances.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate financial reports on a regular basis.
