RAMS Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a RAMS Engineer to support Siemens Mobility’s rail and mobility solutions. The role focuses on safety assessments, reliability, availability, maintainability and safety (RAMS) analyses, and lifecycle cost (LCC) studies during the design phase and throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct safety assessments and maintenance analyses (RAM/LCC) during design.
• Provide technical maintenance information to customers and operators.
• Collect, process, and distribute maintenance experience to engineering specialist groups.
• Handle RAMS/LCC enquiries, ensuring deadlines, cost control and quality for EN projects.
• Develop, edit, organize and control maintenance documentation for bogies in English, complying with legal and project requirements.
• Create, review or approve development documents such as specifications, drawings, RAMS, FMECA and LCC reports.
• Design maintenance concepts in collaboration with component and segment teams.
• Gather and evaluate field data on service life, wear behaviour, operating conditions and logistics.
• Process EN work packages according to technical and functional specifications.
• Coordinate with engineering partners, suppliers and component teams, and conduct training sessions at customer sites.

Required profile

• Strong background in RAMS engineering, reliability and maintainability analysis.
• Experience with lifecycle cost (LCC) assessments and failure mode, effects and criticality analysis (FMECA).
• Ability to produce high‑quality technical documentation in English.
• Good communication skills for interacting with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
