Quality Specialist – Manufacturing & Process Excellence

About the role

The Quality Specialist will ensure the highest standards of product and process quality for Hitachi Energy India. You will implement, maintain, and improve quality management systems to meet company objectives and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes aligned with global standards and local regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits on products, processes, and systems to identify non‑conformities.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and generate reports with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Investigate customer complaints and internal issues, determine root causes, and drive resolution with cross‑functional teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, supply chain and other departments to embed quality considerations throughout product development.
• Support and deliver quality training programs for employees.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and participate in internal and external audits.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and work with procurement to meet standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) or related technical discipline.
• 3‑5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control, preferably in power, energy or heavy manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO 9001.
• Proven experience with quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, 8D, SPC and Lean Six Sigma.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
