Project Erection & Site Management

About the role

The Project Erection & Site Management professional will lead the safe installation, testing and commissioning of diesel generator (DG) sets on construction sites. This role ensures strict compliance with health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations while coordinating with clients, consultants and statutory safety representatives.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations during DG supply, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Review and approve Job Safety Analyses (JSA), HIRA and method statements before work commences.
• Conduct site safety inductions, toolbox talks and supervise safe unloading, lifting, shifting and positioning of DG sets and accessories.
• Verify third‑party certification of lifting tools and monitor safety during foundation, mechanical installation, alignment and electrical activities.
• Enforce lockout‑tagout (LOTO), permit‑to‑work systems and oversee cable laying, termination, earthing and electrical testing.
• Maintain barricading, signage and restricted access during testing and commissioning phases.
• Implement environmental controls for diesel handling, spills, noise and emissions.
• Identify, report and close unsafe acts, near misses and hazardous conditions; maintain daily safety records and incident reports.

Required profile

• Mandatory experience in site installation, testing and commissioning (SITC) of diesel generator sets.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with diverse site personnel.
