Product Manager – Search & Discovery (Platform)

About the role

We are looking for a Product Manager to own the Search & Discovery experience across Tata 1mg’s platform, driving relevance, personalization and conversion for our consumer healthcare services.

Key responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for Search & Discovery, covering query understanding, retrieval, ranking and result presentation.
• Partner with data science and engineering to improve relevance using intent, personalization and context while ensuring explainability and trust.
• Define and improve key search KPIs (success rate, CTR, add-to-cart, conversion, zero-result rate) through experiments and iterative releases.
• Build and maintain an evaluation framework including golden sets, offline metrics, online A/B tests and continuous regression monitoring.
• Drive enhancements such as auto-complete, facets/filters, synonyms, spell-correction and merchandising controls.
• Collaborate with domain teams (Pharmacy, Labs, Specialty Pharma) to model content and metadata for high-quality retrieval and ranking.
• Explore practical AI/LLM use-cases (query rewriting, intent classification, conversational discovery, null-result handling) and lead responsible adoption.
• Translate ambiguous problems into clear PRDs, align stakeholders and lead cross-functional delivery from discovery to launch.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in consumer internet/B2C products.
• Hands-on experience with Search or Information Retrieval concepts such as relevance, ranking and query understanding.
• Strong comfort with data, metrics definition and A/B testing, and the ability to make data-driven trade-offs.
• Proven ability to work closely with engineering and data-science teams on ML-driven products.
