Process Planner – Manufacturing (Automotive Electronics)

About the role
We are looking for a Process Planner to design, plan and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing automotive electronic products at our Chennai facility. The role ensures optimal resource utilization, compliance with quality standards, and alignment with production and customer requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and define manufacturing processes for new product introductions (NPI) and ensure readiness for serial production.
- Handle engineering and process changes in coordination with cross‑functional teams, maintaining proper documentation and approvals.
- Identify, plan and procure tooling, fixtures and Manufacturing Assembly Equipment (MAE) and oversee their installation and commissioning.
- Prepare and maintain process flow diagrams, work instructions/SOPs, line layouts and capacity plans.
- Develop and maintain control plans, process flow charts and conduct PFMEA to identify and mitigate risks.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in process planning and industrialization within an automotive or electronics manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and manage change effectively.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
