Pharmaceutical Specialist

About the role

The University Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmaceutical Specialist to manage day‑to‑day pharmacy operations, ensure medication availability, and support health‑promotion initiatives across the campus community.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, dispensing, OTC management and service quality.
• Monitor medicine inventory, manage reorder levels, expiry dates and conduct regular audits.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, institutional policies and maintain all required documentation and licences.
• Coordinate with the university medical centre, doctors, nurses and wellness teams for health campaigns, vaccination drives and emergency preparedness.
• Generate operational, sales and utilization reports; analyse consumption trends and maintain MIS and billing records.
• Provide professional service to students, faculty and staff, addressing queries and promoting patient‑centric care.
• Identify process improvement opportunities, support cost optimisation and participate in SOP development and quality projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm).
• MBA in Healthcare Management, Hospital Management or Healthcare Administration (preferred).
• 1–5 years of experience in pharmacy operations, hospital/retail/institutional pharmacy or healthcare administration.
• Exposure to university or campus healthcare environments is advantageous.
