Packing Machine Operator

About the role

Shree Additives is seeking a Packing Machine Operator for its new state-of-the-art production facility in Nandasan, Mehsana. The role involves operating and maintaining a range of packaging equipment to ensure efficient, high-quality production of spice blends and related food products.

Key responsibilities

• Operate pouch, sachet, and wet-packing machines (VFFS, HFFS, single-track and multi-track) following standard operating procedures.
• Set up machines, perform changeovers and carry out basic troubleshooting to keep lines running smoothly.
• Monitor machine performance, report abnormalities or breakdowns promptly, and support preventive maintenance.
• Conduct in-process quality checks including pack weight, seal integrity, labeling and product appearance.
• Maintain production records, packing logs, downtime reports and batch documentation.
• Ensure machine cleanliness, hygiene standards and compliance with safety and FSSAI food-safety requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, QA and Maintenance teams to resolve issues and minimise material wastage.
• Participate in continuous-improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and productivity.

Required profile

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in FMCG, food, spice or packaging manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience operating VFFS, HFFS, pouch, sachet, jar-filling or bottle-filling lines.
