On Site Service Technician – Level III

About the role

The On Site Service Technician – Level III acts as the primary technical specialist for customers, delivering independent diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of engines, after‑treatment systems and related equipment directly at customer sites. The role focuses on minimizing equipment downtime while providing strong customer engagement and proactive service support.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engine, after‑treatment (ATS) and vehicle‑level issues on‑site.
• Perform troubleshooting on engines, gensets, construction equipment and vehicles using electronic service tools such as INSITE.
• Conduct teardown, inspection and rebuild of components including turbochargers, dosing systems and fuel systems.
• Analyze field failures, provide feedback to plant teams and validate repairs to prevent repeat issues.
• Serve as the main technical interface for customers, ensuring timely issue resolution and maintaining strong relationships.
• Organize and deliver technical training for OEMs, dealers and service centers.
• Handle warranty cases, perform root‑cause analysis and manage defective part returns.
• Maintain parts inventory, complete service documentation and ensure compliance with HSE policies.

Required profile

• Apprentice Certified Power Generation and/or Engine Technician (preferred).
• Vocational diploma or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Relevant electrical certification (optional but advantageous).
• Valid driving licence.
