Kong Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Kong Developer to design, build and scale the Kong API and AI Management Gateway. The role involves securing and handling high‑volume traffic across cloud‑native environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and scale Kong API Gateway for secure, reliable traffic management.
• Manage gateway configurations and platform environments on Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
• Automate build, deployment and release workflows using CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Enhance platform observability with monitoring, alerting and dashboards (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Support cloud‑native deployments across multi‑cloud or OpenShift‑based environments.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in API management and gateway technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with Kong Gateway; experience with other gateways (Apigee, MuleSoft, Azure APIM, AWS API Gateway, Tyk) is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Kubernetes and Docker.
• Deep experience with CI/CD frameworks (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with monitoring stacks such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Multi‑cloud exposure (at least two of AWS, Azure, GCP) or strong OpenShift expertise.
