About the role
The Key Accounts Manager will lead the development and growth of Brenntag’s global and regional key accounts in India. Reporting to the Regional Key Account Team, the role combines strategic planning, P&L responsibility and close collaboration with internal divisions and external customers to drive sales, volume and profitability.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute regional strategies and targets for key accounts, with full P&L accountability.
- Identify new opportunities, cross‑selling and market expansion initiatives for global and regional accounts.
- Maintain deep knowledge of account strategies, needs and market dynamics in India.
- Coordinate with site and regional buyers, business units and other Key Account Managers to launch customer‑focused projects.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key contacts at all levels of customer organisations.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and initiatives from global and regional account teams.
- Collaborate with global and regional suppliers to create new product offerings and improve profitability.
- Manage consolidation programs, RFQs and other key account projects.
- Prepare periodic reports and complete administrative tasks on time.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of sales and marketing experience, preferably in chemical manufacturing or distribution.
- Strong analytical ability and solid understanding of financial statements.
- Proven ability to make independent decisions in ambiguous situations.
- High self‑motivation, customer orientation and strong business acumen.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across all organisational levels.
