About the role
The IT Support & Utility Management professional will ensure the continuous operation of Samri Mines' information systems. This includes overseeing network connectivity, hardware inventory, and providing first‑level support for Oracle ERP (Ekayaan) and related applications.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and maintain the mine’s information system, including LAN, WAN and SD‑WAN connectivity.
- Procure IT goods and services through Ekayaan and manage new IT projects.
- Maintain inventory of desktops, laptops, workstations, tablets, printers, network devices and consumables.
- Provide first‑level support for Oracle ERP (Ekayaan), mail applications, and user training on PR, SRN and Move Order processes.
- Install and update security measures such as Active Directory, antivirus, firewalls and proxy‑based internet security.
- Conduct regular inspection and maintenance of devices to ensure uninterrupted communication.
- Support ancillary projects like CLMS, LIMS (Firewall) and IMMIS.
- Handle e‑waste disposal and ensure availability of spare parts for business continuity.
- Provide technical and functional support for legacy systems, RFID‑based logistics (ILMS) and Biometric Attendance System.
- Perform feasibility studies for automation opportunities with relevant stakeholders.
Required profile
- Proven experience in IT support within an industrial or mining environment.
- Familiarity with Oracle ERP (Ekayaan) and related business processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities for hardware, software and network issues.
- Ability to train end‑users and communicate technical information clearly.
