Infrastructure Support Apprentice (Graduate)

About the role

We are seeking recent engineering graduates to join Alcon’s IT Infrastructure Support team in Bangalore as Graduate Apprentices. The role offers hands‑on exposure to enterprise‑level servers, storage, networking and operating systems while building professional and customer‑facing capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring, routine checks and housekeeping of servers, operating systems, storage and basic network components.
• Support provisioning, configuration and maintenance of infrastructure resources under supervision.
• Help resolve incidents and service requests related to infrastructure services.
• Contribute to knowledge base articles, SOPs and runbooks.
• Follow security, access‑control and compliance guidelines.
• Participate in structured training, mentoring and on‑the‑job learning with senior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology.
• Basic understanding of Windows or Linux operating systems, server and data‑center concepts, networking fundamentals and storage basics.
• Willingness to work shift‑based or rotational schedules, including 24/7 rotation.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
