About the role

The hospital is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse for its Intensive Care Unit located on Ferozepur Road, Ludhiana. The role involves providing high‑quality care to critically ill patients, supporting the intensivist and anesthetist, and ensuring a safe, hygienic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient vital signs, initiating timely medical interventions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Identify and address potential complications such as infections, bleeding, or respiratory issues.
• Administer prescribed pain relief and manage patients' pain levels.
• Maintain strict hygiene and safety protocols to prevent infection transmission.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families during critical periods.
• Document all interventions, patient responses, and condition changes accurately.
• Manage inventory of medicines and consumables, ensuring adequate stock.
• Check and maintain biomedical equipment and crash‑cart readiness.
• Prepare stable patients for discharge and deliver clear discharge instructions.
• Participate in continuous quality‑improvement and training programs.

Required profile

• Diploma or B.Sc. in Nursing.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU/HDU.
• Ability to handle emergency medical equipment.
• Adherence to specified dress code and ID card policy.
• Willingness to work duty hours as per schedule.
