Head of Finance Services – India

About the role

The Head of Finance Services will lead all finance activities for the Service Delivery Unit in India, ensuring strong financial control, strategic partnership, and efficient delivery of finance services that support growth and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the SDU’s finance strategy aligned with global objectives.
• Serve as primary finance business partner to the global Finance GBS community.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning and scenario analysis.
• Manage end‑to‑end finance processes including accounts payable/receivable, closing cycles and management accounting.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation and standardisation.
• Define and monitor KPIs and SLAs, using metrics to drive performance improvements.
• Build, coach and retain a high‑performing finance team, ensuring succession planning.
• Maintain strong relationships with regional/global finance, tax, legal and business stakeholders and represent the SDU in global finance forums.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant, MBA Finance, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• 12+ years progressive finance experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Experience in shared services, service delivery units or business‑unit finance in an international or matrixed organisation.
• Solid exposure to FP&A, accounting, controllership and finance operations.
• Proven track record of process improvement and finance automation/ERP implementation.
• Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication and people‑leadership capabilities.
