Guest Service Associate - Housekeeping

About the role

As a Guest Service Associate – Housekeeping you will help create memorable experiences for guests by ensuring the hotel’s rooms and public areas are clean, well‑maintained and ready for use. You will work as part of the Guest Environment team at Marriott’s JW Marriott property in Kolkata, delivering high‑quality service in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms, corridors and public spaces according to Marriott standards.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, restock housekeeping carts and supplies.
• Maintain the appearance and safety of all hotel areas, following company policies and procedures.
• Handle objects up to 50 lb safely, moving, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling as needed.
• Uphold confidentiality, quality standards and professional appearance at all times.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
• Comfort with lifting and moving items weighing ≤ 50 lb without assistance.
• Commitment to a safe workplace and adherence to company policies.
• Professional demeanor, uniform compliance and clear communication.
