FP&A Control Advisor

About the role

The FP&A Control Advisor will lead the control and financial reporting review process across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. You will work closely with finance and business teams to provide assurance on controls, support audits, and drive a culture of compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end control and financial reporting review process for various entities.
• Provide assurance on internal controls, collaborating with FP&A and other process towers.
• Coordinate compliance with BP internal controls and guide business partners on control policies.
• Support internal and external audits, responding to entity‑specific queries.
• Lead statutory reporting activities such as LRA, SEA, ARA and ESG disclosures.
• Manage variance analysis, quarterly analytical reviews and other financial reporting requirements.
• Coach finance and business teams on control and reporting matters.
• Own cash & banking and period‑end close controls.
• Ensure application of the Group reporting manual and proper documentation of accounting judgments.

Required profile

• Recognised professional accountancy qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Strong understanding of financial control, accounting processes and IFRS.
• Post‑qualification IFRS advisory experience.
• Proven track record in corporate controllership and multi‑national compliance.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
• Self‑starter with a proactive approach to initiatives.
