Equipment Technician

About the role

The Equipment Technician ensures smooth and efficient operation of test equipment and hardware used in production and engineering activities. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, calibration, repair and preventive maintenance of testers, handlers and probers, minimizing downtime and supporting new product introductions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair test equipment such as laser mark, UV‑cure, AOI, vision and packing stations.
• Perform calibration, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on handlers (Hontech, Delta Eclipse, Seiko Epson, Synax2400) and test platforms.
• Track, monitor and report daily equipment downtime and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Support engineering teams during NPI, equipment buy‑off, recipe creation and test correlation.
• Conduct ESD and grounding checks and document findings.
• Provide failure analysis reports and assist in automation and process improvement projects.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, calibration and repair.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts and a clean‑room environment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Hontech handlers (HT1028c, HT9046LS, HT1032), Delta Eclipse, Seiko Epson, Synax2400.
• Familiarity with ATE platforms such as Advantest V93K, T2000, Teradyne ETS364, ETS 88, J750, Ultraflex, Cohu tester.
• Knowledge of prober systems: TEL‑P8, P12, Prexa, Precio, Accretech/TSK, OPUS, SEMICS.
• Experience with turret and pick‑and‑place handlers (SRM, Existech, Hontech, Cohu).
• Understanding of probe process, thermal management and equipment engineering.
