About the role

Lady Andal School is seeking a passionate Early Years Homeroom Teacher to guide children aged 4 to 6 in an inquiry‑based, holistic learning environment. The role is full‑time, on‑site in Chetpet, Chennai, and supports the school’s IB continuum vision.

Key responsibilities

• Design and facilitate engaging learning experiences that meet the needs of all students.
• Curate and organise subject resources that challenge and extend learning.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure programme effectiveness and alignment with IB requirements.
• Integrate digital tools and learning technology to enhance student outcomes.
• Apply diverse assessment strategies to build conceptual understanding.
• Maintain accurate assessment records and student work in line with IB standards.
• Communicate professionally with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Uphold professional ethics, international mindedness, and the school’s core values.
• Participate in professional development activities and implement improvement strategies.
• Ensure the safety and well‑being of all students.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of teaching experience, preferably with IB PYP or Montessori programmes.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field is acceptable.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to create an inquiry‑based classroom.
• Commitment to the IB Learner Profile and the school’s mission.

Required skills

• Proficiency with education management software.
• Strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite.
