Deputy Director – Faculty Development and Updation

About the role

The Deputy Director – Faculty Development and Updation will lead strategic initiatives to enhance faculty capabilities, align teaching with emerging industry standards, and support accreditation goals. Reporting to senior leadership, this role collaborates closely with academic heads to drive continuous learning across the institution.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with Deans, Principals, and Heads of Departments to implement future‑skills and global certification programs.
• Plan and execute faculty development initiatives, including certification courses and industry‑aligned training.
• Monitor faculty upskilling progress, certifications, and participation across all departments.
• Facilitate collaboration with industry partners and certification bodies to ensure relevance of programs.
• Support knowledge‑transfer activities that improve student learning outcomes.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and documentation for institutional review and accreditation processes.
• Ensure effective execution of the overall faculty development strategy.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university (Ph.D. preferred).
• Minimum of 5 + years of academic or industry experience.
• Proven experience in faculty development, training programs, or skill‑development initiatives.
• Exposure to Learning & Development (L&D), capacity building, or industry‑academia collaboration is an advantage.
