Data Scientist – Generative AI & Azure

About the role

The Data Scientist will design and implement advanced data‑science solutions, focusing on Generative AI technologies such as chat‑bots, Agentic AI, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) and GraphRAG. The role works closely with the Consumption Team to integrate AI models into production APIs and ensure high‑quality, performant code.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Generative AI functionalities, including chat‑bots, Agentic AI and RAG/GraphRAG solutions.
• Optimize existing PySpark/Python code for performance and compliance with coding standards.
• Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure services (ADF, Databricks, SQL Server, ADLS).
• Conduct robust data analysis and transform raw data into actionable insights.
• Collaborate with the Consumption Team to integrate code with their APIs and meet all technical requirements.
• Promote coding standards within the team and propose efficient solutions.
• Identify opportunities to continuously improve Data Science team services for internal consumers.

Required profile

• Proven experience with PySpark, Python and SQL.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Generative AI models, prompting techniques and RAG/GraphRAG implementations.
• Experience working with Azure stack components (ADF, Databricks, SQL Server, ADLS).
• Ability to analyse, transform, manipulate and interpret complex data sets.
• Familiarity with collaborative development using Git/GitHub.
