Data Governance Manager – Corporate Functions

About the role

Invesco is seeking a Data Governance Manager to lead metadata and taxonomy initiatives across its Corporate Functions. You will work within the Global Business Services (GBS) Data Governance team, partnering with Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance and other stakeholders to ensure data quality and consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance Invesco’s Metadata Dictionary and Taxonomy.
• Steward metadata content, ensuring proper definition, reuse, and alignment with business needs.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert for the Informatica Metadata tool.
• Produce governance metrics, deliver training, and provide guidance to analysts and project teams.
• Handle process escalations, lead documentation, and support knowledge retention.
• Drive continuous improvement through problem‑solving and brainstorming initiatives.
• Support GIDS leadership in achieving team objectives and champion metadata usage across Corporate Functions.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in a data role, preferably within financial services.
• Strong understanding of metadata importance in business and IT processes.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and industry practices.
• Ability to model data relationships and translate them into business concepts.
• Experience developing training materials and procedural documentation.
• Post‑graduate education; IT or finance‑related certifications are a plus.
