Data Center Technician – AWS Infrastructure Operations

About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Technician to join its Data Center Operations (DCO) team. You will work in a high‑density data‑center environment, ensuring the reliability and availability of critical server, storage, and networking equipment that powers AWS services worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on servers, storage systems, and networking devices on a 24/7 basis.
• Install, configure, and replace hardware components in data‑center racks.
• Maintain system reliability through proactive monitoring and rapid incident response.
• Work within a ticket‑based environment to document and track problem resolution.
• Participate in projects that improve operational efficiency and share best practices with global technical teams.
• Train less‑technical staff on hardware handling and service‑owner procedures.
• Assist in the hiring process by interviewing candidates and evaluating technical fit.

Required profile

• Primary point of contact for internal customers, able to handle diverse and urgent issues.
• Comfortable working rotating shifts to support continuous data‑center operations.
• Strong teamwork orientation and willingness to mentor colleagues.
• Interest in contributing to process improvements and innovation projects.
