Cross Technology Managed Services Engineer (L1)

About the role

As a Cross Technology Managed Services Engineer (L1) you will be the first point of contact for NTT DATA’s clients, ensuring their IT infrastructure stays operational and meets service level agreements. You will work on a variety of technology domains, providing first‑line support for standard and low‑complexity incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor client infrastructure and proactively identify problems before they impact services.
• Investigate, diagnose and resolve first‑line incidents via phone, ticketing system or chat.
• Perform routine maintenance activities such as patching and configuration changes.
• Support multiple technology areas (e.g., Cloud, Security, Networking, Applications, Collaboration).
• Update or create knowledge‑base articles and contribute to process optimisation.
• Participate in disaster‑recovery testing and ensure data protection.
• Hand over shift activities smoothly and escalate incidents when required.
• Maintain a positive client experience throughout every interaction.

Required profile

• Entry‑level experience troubleshooting security, network, data‑centre, systems or storage environments in a medium to large ICT organisation.
• Basic understanding of management agents, redundancy concepts and ITIL processes.
• Disciplined ticket handling and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Strong client‑centric attitude and ability to work across cultures.
• Effective communication, active listening and a positive outlook under pressure.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
