Component Engineer – BTV (Mechanical Design)

About the role

The Component Engineer BTV will lead the release of work products and be accountable for the mechanical design of eMachine components such as rotors or stators. The role serves as the primary technical liaison with suppliers and ensures proper system integration and evaluation of component changes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead release of work products, including materials, norms, production instructions and drawings.
• Release deviations from the design kit through relevant groups and committees (CoC, CoE, ISET, CoreMA).
• Design and realize mechanical components of eMachine (rotor or stator) in compliance with the design kit and interface requirements.
• Act as the main technical contact for internal and external suppliers regarding component and assembly design topics.
• Ensure correct system integration of components and evaluate changes for impact on functionality, assembly, quality, manufacturability, cost and timing.

Required profile

• BE or BTech degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering.

Required skills

• Mechanical design of electromechanical components.
• Experience with release processes and design kit compliance.
• Ability to assess impact of component changes on functionality, quality and cost.
