About the role
The Compliance Officer will ensure end‑to‑end adherence to IFSC regulations, corporate laws and other regulatory frameworks for the GIFT City branch. This position combines compliance, legal and corporate secretarial duties, supporting the fund’s operations across domestic and overseas jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee overall compliance, legal and corporate secretarial functions for the GIFT branch.
- Monitor day‑to‑day compliance with IFSC regulations and internal systems.
- Draft and vet PPMs, contribution agreements, trust deeds and various vendor/distributor contracts.
- Interpret and apply laws of overseas jurisdictions where the fund is marketed.
- Review marketing materials and manage fund listings in foreign jurisdictions.
- Prepare and file periodic reports required by IFSC regulator, ROC, RBI and other authorities.
- Interact with statutory authorities for approvals and clarifications.
- Generate MIS reports for senior management and liaise with auditors and legal firms on compliance matters.
- Provide compliance updates to internal departments.
Required profile
- Company Secretary (CS) with at least 3 years of financial services experience; AIF experience is a plus.
- LL.B/LL.M. or a qualified lawyer from a recognized Indian or international university is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Indian legal system and corporate law.
- Excellent command of English and strong communication abilities.
- Detail‑oriented, investigative mindset with proactive foresight.
- Willingness to relocate to Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar and work from the GIFT City branch.
