Certifying Mechanic – Aircraft Maintenance

About the role

The Certifying Mechanic is responsible for performing and signing off all maintenance work on aircraft within the scope of their authorization. This role ensures compliance with statutory airworthiness regulations and company standards, guaranteeing that each aircraft is released to service safely.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and certify all line‑maintenance tasks, including subcontracted work, in accordance with approved procedures.
• Monitor and control maintenance documentation, ensuring it is raised, reviewed, and cleared before aircraft release.
• Report any occurrence, incident, significant defect, or un‑airworthy condition to the Shift In‑Charge/AME.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of company operating procedures, quality and technical reporting systems, and the Line Maintenance Manual.
• Perform technician functions as required by the station and undertake any additional duties assigned by superiors.

• Authorized to certify aircraft maintenance work.

• Ability to work accurately under pressure and follow documented procedures.
