Back End Developer – C# APIs & Distributed Systems

About the role

Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation practice is seeking a Backend Developer to design and build high‑performance, scalable APIs and services. You will work on distributed systems, containerised environments, and workflow orchestration while collaborating with cross‑functional teams in an Agile setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and backend services using C#.
• Build and operate distributed systems with high availability and resilience.
• Implement container solutions with Docker and orchestrate them using Kubernetes.
• Create and manage workflows using Temporal or similar orchestration tools.
• Apply security‑by‑design principles, including relation‑based access control (ReBAC) where required.
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Participate actively in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies and sprint activities.
• Debug production issues, ensure system reliability, and leverage AI tools to boost development productivity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Proven ability to work on large‑scale, distributed architectures.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and collaborative team environments.

Required skills

• C# and API development.
• Docker and Kubernetes.
• Temporal (or similar workflow orchestration).
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Relation‑based access control (ReBAC) concepts.
• Microservices architecture.
