AWS Data Engineer – Build Scalable Data Platforms

About the role

We are looking for an AWS Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms that power analytics and data‑driven products at Zinnia. You will work on the core infrastructure, ensuring reliable pipelines, storage, and compute resources on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and operate scalable data pipelines and platforms supporting analytics and machine‑learning workloads.
• Provision and manage AWS resources (S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS/Aurora, EKS/ECS) using Terraform and Snowflake IaC.
• Implement observability, telemetry, and data quality checks to ensure platform reliability.
• Containerize and deploy pipeline components with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Build ELT/ETL workflows using Airflow, dbt, and Airbyte.
• Collaborate on data governance, access control, and cost‑optimization within AWS and Snowflake.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and pipeline issues, escalating complex problems.
• Document solutions and follow technical standards.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Strong SQL and Python programming skills.
• Hands‑on experience with core AWS services and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Ability to translate clear requirements into reliable, well‑tested solutions.
