AVeVA PI Engineer / Consultant (Industrial Data Historian)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AVeVA PI Engineer / Consultant to design, implement, and support data acquisition and integration solutions for industrial environments. The role focuses on PI System administration, RDBMS integration, and OPC UA connectivity.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and engineer AVeVA PI System components including Data Archive, Asset Framework, Vision, and Interfaces/Connectors.
• Design and implement PI RDBMS integration with SQL Server using ICU queries, views, and stored procedures.
• Configure, deploy, and support the PI OPC UA Connector for secure OT data acquisition.
• Perform system upgrades, migrations, patching, and high‑availability configurations.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation of PI data flows and connector issues.

Required profile

• 6–12 years of experience with industrial data historian solutions, specifically AVeVA PI.
• Strong hands‑on experience with PI Data Archive, PI AF, PI Vision, and PI Interfaces/Connectors.
• Proven expertise in integrating PI with relational databases (SQL Server) and OPC UA servers.
• Ability to work closely with OT, automation, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams.
