Associate Professor / Professor in Forensic Science (Full‑Time)

About the role

Chandigarh University seeks experienced academics to join its Forensic Science department as Associate Professor or Professor. The position involves delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervising laboratory work, and advancing research in forensic disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and develop curricula for subjects such as forensic biology, DNA profiling, forensic chemistry, toxicology, crime scene management, digital and cyber forensics, questioned documents, fingerprint analysis, and forensic ballistics.
• Conduct and supervise practical laboratory sessions and simulation exercises.
• Guide postgraduate dissertations, supervise Ph.D. scholars, and mentor junior faculty.
• Publish research in UGC‑CARE/Scopus indexed journals and present at national and international conferences.
• Apply for and manage funded research projects from agencies like DST, SERB, DRDO, and MHA.
• Participate in departmental committees, accreditation processes, and organize workshops and training programs.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Forensic Science or a closely related field.
• For Associate Professor: Minimum 8 years of teaching, research, or industry experience; for Professor: senior academic standing with a strong research record.
• Relevant publications as per UGC guidelines.
• Experience in supervising postgraduate students is preferred.
